Their unique skills and diverse life experiences help them manage everyday challenges while offering care and companionship to patients and families.

 

Senior Leadership

 

Lynda Tanner
President & CEO

Lynda is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and directing all activities and programs of Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care.  She establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for the organization to meet and promote the stated mission and maintains the vision for delivery of high quality, compassionate care in the community.  She is passionate about homecare and believes it will be instrumental in controlling health care costs in the future as baby boomers age and want to remain at home.  Her experience includes more than 30 years working in homecare including working as a consultant and JCAHO surveyor with organizations across the United States. She graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later earned a Masters degree in Nursing Administration.


Tamara Skov
Foundation Executive Director

Tamara is responsible for overall Foundation functions including all fundraising efforts to support VNHC’s charitable mission, the new Serenity House capital campaign and the organization’s endowment, as well as oversight and stewardship of contributions and investments, and support of community education and support efforts. She brings more than 20 years of experience in non-profit management and all aspects of fundraising. A graduate of the University of California, Davis, Tamara is very active in the local community currently serving on the Board of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals in Santa Barbara & Ventura Counties and Soroptimist International of Santa Barbara.


Karen Wallace
Chief Financial Officer

Karen manages all fiduciary concerns of the organization. She brings over 20 years of financial leadership excellence, specializing in healthcare and not-for-profits. Her philanthropic experience includes work with the Peace Corps, USAID and Development Bank of Western Samoa. Karen graduated from California State University at Chico with a Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance and received a Master of Business Administration, Finance from California Lutheran University. Her professional affiliations include Healthcare Financial Management Association and Institute of Managerial Accountants.


Pauline Jones
Chief Operating Officer

Pauline directs clinical operations of the organization, including all professional and patient care departments and works with senior leaders to develop strategic analysis for organizational growth and business opportunities as well as assessing existing operational systems for efficiencies and improvement.  Pauline has been nationally recognized for excellence in end of life care by the End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) and is a certified ELNEC Geriatric Trainer.  She has been a featured speaker on television and radio and has published several articles.  Pauline enjoys public speaking and welcomes every opportunity to share information about the remarkable services offered by VNHC.


Lisa Holden
Senior Director of Education & Organizational Development

Lisa is responsible for translating VNHC's vision into action through a focus on organizational design, alignment and accountability. She has extensive experience in leadership, nonprofit management, government affairs, public policy, and coalition building. Lisa came to Santa Barbara in May 2008 as the Executive Director of the Nonprofit Support Center. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marquette University and pursued graduate work in nursing at the University of Wisconsin. In addition, Lisa holds an Executive Education Certificate from the Notre Dame Executive Integral Leadership Program and currently serves on the boards of the Goleta Valley Historical Society and Santa Barbara Associates.


Babetta Daddino
Director of Hospice

As the Hospice Director, Babetta is responsible for the planning, development, and operations of the Hospice program to ensure services are accessible to those facing life threatening illness, and are provided by compassionate and professional interdisciplinary staff focused on the patient/family comfort and life-enhancing goals. Babetta is a registered nurse with a Masters degree in Nursing Administration and Nurse Practitioner Certification from University of California, San Francisco. She brings over 25 years of health care management from nonprofit, government and private agencies and, with over 10 years in Hospice, she is passionate about honoring all in the journey at end of life, as well as all who are working with them.


Holly Gendron
Director of Serenity House

As the Director of Serenity House, VNHC’s 18 bed inpatient hospice facility, Holly is responsible for the development and planning of all interdisciplinary clinical, fiscal, and facility operations. She is dedicated to providing a place of comfort, service, and medical excellence for end of life care for this community. Holly has 40 years of experience with 18 years in home health and hospice. She has over 25 years of management experience in the non-profit sector; and is a registered nurse with a BS in Health Care Management and Masters in Public Health.

 

Chris Grant
Director of Clinical Integration

Bringing over 17 years of home health experience to VNHC, Chris’ focus is to implement plans to secure optimal patient outcomes by improving the quality and efficiency of care provided across all service lines, enhancing communication, and optimizing utilization of technology. He integrates the compassion and hands-on care he cultivated as a physical therapist with the leadership and organizational management skills he refined as a home health administrator. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Business Administration from UCLA, a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University, and returned to UCLA for a Master of Business Administration.


Mary Beth Noggle
Director of Home Health

Mary Beth directs the Home Health program of VNHC, overseeing a team of nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, social workers and home health aides. She is responsible for the program's financial and clinical outcomes as they relate to the patients that are served. Her experience includes 25 years in the nursing profession, with a focus in Home Health for the last 15 years. Mary Beth earned her nursing degree from Alan Hancock College.


Ann Russell
Director of Human Resources

Ann is responsible for overseeing all facets of Human Resources management of Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care.  She has a broad range of managerial and technical expertise, working in small and large companies in multiple states nationwide.

Ann has more than twenty five years experience in human resources, and is a graduate of San Diego State University .  She is an active member of SHRM, the Society of Human Resources Management.

 


Marion Schoneberger
Director of Business Development

Marion is responsible for overseeing the growth and development of referral sources, outreach to the community through various programs as well as organization-wide marketing and advertising activities.
She has more than 30 years experience in various health care settings that includes direct patient care, supervisor and manager of clinical services, clinical research and new program development. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of Oregon, post-graduate Physical Therapy program at University of Pennsylvania, a Master's Degree in Health Care Management at California State University, Los Angeles and a Marketing Certificate at UCSB.


Debbie Wright
Director of Quality & Compliance

Debbie is responsible for overseeing Quality and Compliance for all of the programs and departments at VNHC. She brings over 30 years of healthcare experience in educational, operational, clinical, and public program leadership roles, dedicating the past 14 years to quality, performance improvement and regulatory compliance. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and completed her Master’s Degree in Public Health in Health Education at California State University at Northridge..
